Mission Statement

HIPAOS (Health Information Protection and Online Storage) LLC is on a mission to save lives and reduce needless suffering. To make that happen, our service is absolutely free. It also stores health information for easy update later.

HIPAOS, LLC, an acronym for "Health Information Protection and Online Storage," is a registered Florida Limited Liability Company. The company operates www.MyEmergencyMedicalFile.com, and is making it available for free to everyone. The site is funded by the company痴 founder to the extent not funded by revenues derived from advertising.

In 2003, the founder of HIPAOS, LLC, was rushed by ambulance to a hospital emergency room. He still remembers a nurse leaning over his gurney, asking vital health questions he was unable to answer.

He decided that would never happen again. That was when he got the idea for a wallet card, one which could be easily updated whenever information changes.

What happened next changed his life. He hopes it will change yours as well. Every doctor or nurse who saw his little wallet card said, "WOW! I wish our other patients could carry that kind of information, too."

First responders -- ambulance drivers, emergency medical technicians, police, fire fighters and others -- were unanimous in their agreement. They said more lives would be saved if people just carried such information with them.

Back then, it was just a little card he tucked in among his credit cards. But it seemed every person who saw it had a suggestion to make it better. After three years and many revisions, he created the card we have today.
